A web phenomenon in the Islamic world is rapidly emerging. Micro and macro religious communities have found a comfortable place online, mostly thanks to the live features of social media such as Facebook and Youtube. Worldwide Quran lecturers and Imams get increasingly creative and organized to stream online their prayers and recitations. We followed many different live streaming sessions to document this web revolution concerning Islam in all its ethnicity and cultural differences, while involving 1.5 billions Muslims globally.
